Happy Navratri 2012

शरत्काले महापूजा क्रियते या च वार्षिकी। तस्यां ममैतन्माहात्म्त्यं श्रुत्वा भक्तिसमन्वित:।।
सर्वाबाघाविनिर्मक्तो घनघान्यसुतान्वित:। मनुष्यो मत्प्रसादेन भविष्यति न संशय:।।

अर्थात् - शरद ऋतु के नवरात्र में जो मेरी वार्षिक महापूजा की जाती है, उस अवसर पर जो मेरे महात्म्य को भक्तिपूर्वक सुनेगा, वह मनुष्य मेरे प्रसाद से सब बाघाओं से मुक्त होकर घनघान्य एवं पुत्र से संपन्न होगा।
 
शरणागत दीनार्तपरित्राण परायणे।
सर्वस्यातिहरे देवि नारायण नमोस्तुते।।

अर्थात् - मां दुर्गा शरण में आए हुए दीनों एवं पीडि़तों की रक्षा में सदा संलग्न रहती है। सबकी पीड़ा दूर करने वाली नारायणी को शतकोटि नमस्कार है।

 This year the Vasantha Navaraathri poojas fall between 27th April and 3th April, 2012. Generally the Navratri in September/ October - called the Sharadha Navarathri is the more famous one as it is for householders; this navratri in March-April period is called Vasantha navarathri which is good for attaining success in endeavours. Lord Raama celebrated this to attain spiritual power to accomplish His Incarnation purpose - that of slaying Raavana. The Navami of this navaraathri is Shri Raama Navami - the birth celebration of Shri Raama

नवमं सिद्धिदात्री च नवदुर्गा प्रकीर्तिताः।

जयन्ती मंगला काली भद्रकाली कृपालिनि।
दुर्गा क्षमा शिवा धात्री स्वाहा स्वधा नमोस्तुते।।
या देवि सर्वभूतेषु मातृ रूपेण संस्थिता
नमस्तस्ये नमस्तस्ये, नमस्तस्ये नमो नमः।।
